A gripping and enthralling follow-up to The Network (praised by Steve Berry as “mandatory reading for any thriller aficionado”), in which a conspiracy with far-reaching implications threatens to engulf our heroes.
It’s been almost two years since investigative reporter, Jack Logan, and television producer, Taylor Parks brought down the Institute—the secret facility responsible for indoctrinating a generation of America’s political and media power players. Their lives are just getting back to normal, and Jack and Taylor have settled into married life with their young son, Evan. The man who’d threatened their lives—Damon Crosse, is dead, and his evil plan for society thwarted.
But soon a series of bizarre murder/suicides capture Jack’s attention. When he begins to piece together the seemingly unrelated incidents, a disturbing pattern emerges. Could someone be intentionally causing people to become homicidal? Meanwhile, Taylor is producing a story about a class action suit against a national insurance company that has reached the Supreme Court. As Jack and Taylor uncover layer after layer, they start to suspect that their stories are connected and that there is something darker and more insidious at play.
When they make the shocking discovery that Crosse actually faked his own death, and is very much alive, Jack and Taylor must race against the clock to try and find him before he executes his new plan to take back control and destroy not only their lives, but the future of the country.

My Thoughts
L.C. Shaw is back with another amazing Jack Logan novel! This one is filled to overflowing with the same amazing thrills, twists and turns as THE NETWORK, and I loved every minute of this one! From start to finish, I followed Jack and Taylor on their chilling, page turning journey.
Damon Crosse, Taylor’s father, is one heck of a character! He was absolutely chiseled perfectly for his role in this story. The pages turned, and I felt myself falling deeper and deeper into heart of the conspiracies, the darkness of the suspense and the thrills of the chase.
Once again, Shaw has created a captivating story that will take you on a roller coaster ride. Shaw will set you down in unexpected places, and you’ll be thirsty for more. Stay up late, turn the pages, and get lost among this magnificent, 4 star second installment of Jack Logan series. I can’t wait to see what Shaw has in store for her fans next!
