Can a romcom-obssessed romantic finally experience the meet-cute she always dreamed of or will reality never compare to fiction, in this charming debut adult novel from Kerry Winfrey.

Annie is twenty-seven years old, single, and obsessed with romantic comedies (she and her mother watched them religiously, before her mom died). Her dating life is limited by the expectations she’s formed from these movies. She is not as open to new experiences as she might be, because she’s waiting for her Tom Hanks–i.e., a guy she’ll find in the perfect, meet-cute romantic comedy way. When Annie does finally meet her perfect match, it’s not quite in the way she expected, and she’s forced to reckon with the walls she’s built around herself over the years.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Author/Publisher, Edelweiss and was under no obligation to post a review, positive or negative.

My Thoughts
I’m a huge fan of Romcoms. So, when I saw that there was a book called Waiting For Tom Hanks (I am seriously addicted to that guy! I love him in every single thing he’s ever played in.), I jumped. It sounded ridiculously adorable and I was not disappointed! Kerry Winfrey has created a wonderful start to this series!
I absolutely loved Annie’s character! She loved the same movies I am totally obsessed with, and I saw myself in her in so many ways! And, when she meets Drew, the sparks went to flying and I felt every one of them, even if they didn’t. Their characters were perfectly chiseled and I loved laughing out loud with them.
If you love romcoms, then you need to grab this one up. It’s the first in a series, and the characters are reminiscent of Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan, Billy Crystal, and more! The writing style of Winfrey is engaging and gripping and really pulls the reader in. I definitely recommend this one and can’t wait to see what she has in store for us with the next Tom Hanks book!

About Kerry Winfrey

Kerry Winfrey is the author of Love and Other Alien Experiences and Things Jolie Needs to Do Before She Bites It. She’s written for many websites, including HelloGiggles. When she’s not writing, she’s most likely baking yet another batch of cookies or watching far, far too many romantic comedies. She lives with her husband, baby, and dog in the middle of Ohio.
