From Sandie Jones, the author of the Reese Witherspoon x Hello Sunshine Book Club Pick and New York Times bestseller The Other Woman, comes an addictively readable new domestic suspense about a wife, her husband, and the woman who is supposedly her best friend.THE WIFE: For Alice, life has never been better. With her second husband, she has a successful business, two children, and a beautiful house.

HER HUSBAND: Alice knows that life could have been different if her first husband had lived, but Nathan's arrival into her life gave her back the happiness she craved.

HER BEST FRIEND: Through the ups and downs of life, from celebratory nights out to comforting each other through loss, Alice knows that with her best friend Beth by her side, they can survive anything together. So when Nathan starts acting strangely, Alice turns to Beth for help. But soon, Alice begins to wonder whether her trust has been misplaced . . .

The first mistake could be her last.

My Thoughts
After reading The Other Woman some time back, I knew I would be reading Jones’ next novel. So, I jumped on the chance to read The First Mistake and let me tell. It was one hell of a ride! So many thrills, so many turns, so much page turning awesomeness in one book!
The characters that Sandie Jones creates are magnificent. They fill the roles within this story perfectly. The story line Jones creates is out of this world. She takes a gripping, twistful story of one woman who may have made the first mistake of trusting the woman who is now her best friend and throws it to her readers like it’s the next home run. And, with the way this story had me up late into the night, turning page after page, after page, it was definitely a home run in my book! I mean seriously. What better way to lose sleep over than to read a book like that!?
This is highly addicting, 4 star read in my book! If you want a suspenseful, captivating, heart pounding ride, then grab this one up now. Jones has a knack for getting inside the mind and twisting it up while the pages are turning.
