KAYLA~ He moved in next door to me, all bronzed skin and lean muscle, with a panty dropping smile that could make any girl weep with need. He set my body and teenage hormones on fire for three years. THREE LONG YEARS.

In that time he became a cop- Officer Sexy as I liked to call him- and every time I pushed, he retreated. But I knew he felt it, I saw it in the way he looked at me. So one night I set my plan in motion and upped my game. I finally reeled the sexy bastard in, and he didn’t know what hit him.

COOPER~ She tempted me with her smart mouth and tight body for three painful years. I took an oath to uphold the law and honor it, which she made almost impossible not to break. But when the day finally came, I made her pay, every beautiful inch of her. She might drive me crazy and be the biggest pain in the ass, but she’s my pain in the ass. And I’ll spend everyday for the rest of my life making sure she never forgets who she belongs to.

***

You asked for our story and now we are going to give it to you. Cooper and I are not only going to share our special day with you, but we are going to take you back to a time that was frustrating, sexy, explosive and downright beautiful. Here is our story, from beginning to… forever.

This is a Novella with an HEA and is told in dual POV. It is the last book to the Men Of Honor Series. Although you don’t have to read every book in the series, I strongly recommend that the first book, Fighting Temptation, should be read prior to Kayla and Cooper’s story in order to understand many aspects of this book.

WARNING~ Due to mature subject matter, such as explicit sexual situations and coarse language, this story is not suitable for anyone under the age of eighteen.

This book is not suitable for those under 18 years of age because it contains one or more of the following: language, mature content/scenes, references to drugs or alcohol.
My Thoughts
Sweet Lord, Lynn’s books just get better with each one that I read! I loved seeing Cooper and Kayla get their own book after seeing them in the previous books. They are absolutely awesome together! Being taken back to the start of their relationship was so fun.
This one was slightly less angsty than the previous books, but that’s okay. This a beautifully written, passion filled, lighter read after reading the Men Of Honor’s stories that are filled with raw, emotionally breaking story lines. Coop and Kayla’s story had me smiling so many times, and, despite being less angsty, we do still get a glimpse of the suspense that is Lynn’s trademark.
Cooper McKay is absolutely amazing in this one. Watching him fight his feelings and attraction to Kayla in the beginning was absolutely awesome. He’s definitely one of the “good” guys and someone I wish I could know in real life! And, Kayla, well she’s still has funny, sassy and beautiful as she is in the previous books.
Definitely a keeper on my shelf, for sure! Page turning, fast paced, and perfect for giving that little bit of a break from the story lines of past books. Five stars don’t give this novella justice! If you haven’t read the Men Of Honor series, I highly suggest you read them all in order before picking this one up. You will not be sorry that you did!

About K.C. Lynn

K.C. Lynn is a small town girl living in Western Canada. She grew up in a family of four children—two sisters and a brother. Her mother was the lady who baked homemade goods for everyone on the street and her father was a respected man who worked in the RCMP. He’s since retired and now works for the criminal justice system. This being one of the things that inspires K.C. to write romantic suspense about the trials and triumphs of our heroes.

K.C. married her high school sweetheart and they started a big family of their own—two adorable girls and a set of handsome twin boys. They still reside in the same small town but K.C.’s heart has always longed for the south, where everyone says ‘y’all’ and eats biscuits and gravy for breakfast.

It was her love for romance books that gave K.C. the courage to sit down and write her own novel. It was then a beautiful world opened up and she found what she was meant to do…write.

When K.C.’s not spending time with her beautiful family she can be found in her writing cave, living in the fabulous minds of her characters and their stories.
