My Thoughts
It’s been a hot minute since I read an Andrews novel. I was excited to read this one, so when the chance came, I grabbed it up super quick. I will tell you that, once again, Andrews managed to hook me, keep me twisted up in an awesome plot line and left me wanting more.
I loved the twists and turns of Drue’s story. The intrigue of the suspense really pulled me to the center. Each page turn brought me something new. I stayed up late into the night, needing to know what Drue was uncovering and why it was happening.
Throw in a little romance to the mix and Andrews sends her fans a high flying 4 star read again. I definitely recommend this book for all who love to be sucked into a whirlwind roller coaster ride. It’s the perfect beach read, the perfect end of summer get away. Don’t miss it!
About Mary Kay Andrews
Mary Kay Andrews is the pen name of American writer Kathy Hogan Trocheck, based in Atlanta, who has authored a number of best-selling books under the Andrews pen name since 2002.
Trochek graduated from the University of Georgia with a journalism degree in 1976. She worked as a reporter at a number of papers, and spent 11 years as a reporter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution before leaving to write fiction full-time in 1991. She published ten mystery novels under her own name between 1992 and 2000, and switched to the Andrews pen name in 2002 to author Savannah Blues, which marked a change in her style to more Southern-flavored themes.
I loved this fun read!! It was a great balance of a mystery with a splash of romance!
