A psychologist paralyzed by fear.   A mother propelled by love.   A stalker bent on destruction.   Psychology professor Dr. Denilyn Rossi contends that the past is either a shadow that haunts us or a force that propels us. The choice is ours, she tells her students. What she doesn’t tell them is that her own past is a shadow she can’t seem to shake. Fear has immobilized her and is taking a costly toll.

Adelia Sanchez, however, has embraced Dr. Rossi’s teaching. She is ready to confront fear and render it powerless—using the trauma of her past to propel her to entrap the man who stalked and brutally attacked her.

As Denilyn’s past and Adelia’s present converge at the Kaweah River, a dangerous man bent on destruction threatens them both. Will he uncover the secret Deni and Adelia have fought so hard to protect?

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the Author/Shiloh Run Press and was under no obligation to post a review, positive or negative.

It’s been a long time since I’ve read a Yttrup novel, so I was excited that this one was a psych thriller. What I got was a novel that I wasn’t sure what to think of when I sat down to read it. The first two chapters, well, I was trying to love them, but instead, I found myself not wanting to go on. But, go on I did, and wow! Was I glad that I stuck it out! I loved the book!

Dani and her friends were awesome. I loved the way Ms. Yttrup created them. They were true-to-life and really stole my heart! And the plot line. Wow. I found myself on the edge of my seat more times than I could count. The thrills were outstanding and really had me on a roller coaster ride with each page turn. I would think I had Dani’s issues figured out, and Yttrup would hit me another twist and I’d have to backpedal and think about it all over again.

If you want a heart pounding, mind racing, hope filled novel, then look no further than this new release from the talented, skilled hands of Ginny Yttrup. If you’re not already a fan, this 4 star novel will make you one. Once you’re lost among the fast paced pages of this read, the characters sweep you into their story, and the messages woven in become your own. Hats off to Yttrup for creating a fantastic suspense read! Can’t wait for the next one.
