I received a complimentary copy of this book from the Author/Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review, positive or negative.
I’ve had the pleasure of reading Janice Thompson’s work in the past, and was excited to give this book a try. I have read a few of these Camp Club Girls books in the past when they were in single volumes, so I was sure I would love Kate’s collection. I was right! I was not disappointed with this one!
I love a good mystery book, be it adult, young adult, or middle grade. Kate’s stories are just that: good mysteries for those of any age, but definitely good for the middle grade ages. Thompson weaves great messages for young girls, and creates stories that will help to define them and take them on an adventure with awesome new friends.
Kate’s character was wonderfully chiseled into someone I won’t soon forget! She, and her mystery solving friends, really stole my heart! I loved following along, seeking out the clues, and seeking out what happened. It’s like Nancy Drew for the modern times!
If you have a young girl in your life that is starting to read, loves mysteries, or just wants something new, then grab a copy of this book. It’s a 4-in-1 collection of mysteries for the young ages, filled with some great messages from God, and would make the perfect book club read! I can highly recommend this with 4 stars and two thumbs up!
Sounds like a cute read for young girls!
It really is! I wish I had books like this when I was growing up!
I want to get these for my daughter. I think she would love them. It’s always great to see godly literature for the younger readers!
They are so fun and full of adventure. I think all young readers should read books like this. They remind me so much of a modern day Nancy Drew series. I hope if you get them for your daughter, she enjoys them like I did!
