Dennis Quaid and Trace Adkins star in this inspiring true story behind MercyMe’s beloved hit song. Hitting the road in a decrepit tour bus, Bart and his band MercyMe set out on an amazing journey none of them could have ever imagined, in this uplifting, music-filled movie that beautifully illustrates the power of forgiveness and God’s love.

My Thoughts:
I haven’t done a DVD review in some time, so I figured it was time to do one again! Let me tell you what, this DVD is just the way to bring back my DVD reviews! Holy Moly! This DVD is amazing! For a long time, one of my favorite Christian songs has been “I Can Only Imagine”, both the MercyMe version AND the remade Country version by Jeff Carson. When I hear the song, I stop what I am doing, raise my hand or hands and sing it as a prayer to our Lord Jesus. This song washes over me and I get tears in my eyes. So, when I learned of them making a movie about the lead singer from MercyMe and this song that was their hit, I was so excited! I jumped at the chance to watch and review it.
That said, this movie is so much more than a simple 5 star movie. It is powerful, it is emotional, it is God’s unending love wrapped up on one TV screen and projecting to those that watch it. The moving way this movie portrayed Bart Millard and his band was absolutely incredible. I was lost among the characters, feeling God move within me. If you want a powerful, Christian movie that will leave you breathless and renewed, then this is a movie you don’t want to miss. This movie has so much to offer it’s watchers: redemption, hope, love, mercy and God’s grace. What are you waiting on?! Go grab this NOW!

I don’t have one movie or song.
I would say The Passion of the Christ was great. My kids see more than I do because they go with their Aunt to see them after church and they love christian music and movies.
Amazing Grace chains are broken!
“And Can It Be” is one of my favourite hymns. All of the verses are wonderful but I especially love this one:
He left His Father’s throne above,
So free, so infinite His grace;
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And bled for Adam’s helpless race:
’Tis mercy all, immense and free;
For, O my God, it found out me.
’Tis mercy all, immense and free;
For, O my God, it found out me.
My favorite Christian song is Reckless Love. We love jamming to it .
I Can Only Imagine has been one of my favorite Christian songs the past 10 months with this journey that I have been going through. I also love God’t Not Dead, Hear I am to worship, In Christ Alone

I loved this movie so much. I think it was one of the best, well done, Christian movies I have seen in awhile. “I Can Only Imagine” is one of my favorite worship songs. I used to play it on repeat when I was a kid. I think I even had it on a karaoke CD that I would sing along to a lot. Lol.
