High school art teacher Nicole Anderson is looking forward to a relaxing summer in Savannah, house-sitting and managing an art gallery for a family friend. The house is luxurious in a way that only old money could make it, and the gallery promises interesting days in a gorgeous setting. Yet it isn't long before her ideal summer turns into more than she bargained for: a snooty gallery employee who's determined to force her out, a displaced adolescent roosting in the attic, and two of Nicole's close childhood friends--who also happen to be brothers--vying for her attention. With a backdrop of a beautiful historical city, incredible architecture, and even an alleged ghost or two, combined with the opportunity for romance . . . anything can happen! Bestselling and award-winning author Melody Carlson invites readers to spend the summer surrounded by beauty and tantalizing possibilities for the future.

My Thoughts
I have always enjoyed reading Ms. Carlson’s books and this book is no exception! She once again hooked me from start to finish with this beautifully written novel. It is the third in the Follow Your Heart series, but the first one that I have read. Despite that, I was still instantly captivated by her beautifully portrayed characters and vivid details within the pages.
Growing up, one of my two best friends was the boy next door. Him and I used to do everything together. I used to dream of us growing up and getting married, having babies, and being a happy family. But, sadly, that was a long ago dream and when I had to move away. Reading Nicole’s story really brought back my childhood memories. I loved that feeling!
The backdrop of Savannah, GA was wonderful. I went to Savannah once a year or so back and loved the scenery. This story made me feel as if I was back again! Following Nicole and seeing her summer unfold in a whirlwind of events, from managing the art gallery to seeing two of the “boys” she grew up with again, really hooked me!
This is definitely a 4 star worthy read. It’s a whirlwind romantic summer read, filled with Godly messages of hope, longing, seeking His guidance and understanding that Under A Summer Sky, His will will be done! Definitely a keeper for my shelf and I can’t wait to go back and read the first two books in the series.
I loved your thoughts on this one. I agree with you.
Can’t wait to read this one!
