He has an unusual gift for relaxing his customers and stimulating their desire to reveal more than they planned. By the completion of their ride, many feel so comfortable that they confess their sins great and small. Antonio's faith guides his discussions and points him in new directions. Suddenly, his peaceful world is turned upside down by a mysterious business woman. As she heads to a midnight rendezvous, she confesses more than Antonio can handle. Her story sends him into a world of espionage, international terrorism and danger.

My Thoughts
I must be honest and say that when I chose to review this book, I wasn’t exactly sure if I would like it. I mean, I’m eclectic reader when it comes to Christian books….contemporary, thriller, suspense, historical, chick lit. You name, I’ll try it. However, I just wasn’t sure with this one. But, when I sat down to read it, I was quite surprised at the intensity of the story and the way it pulled me in! An up and down, in and out, twisty thrill ride that I won’t soon forget!
David Winters takes his readers on a whirlwind ride (quite literally, since the main character, Antonio, is a Buber driver!) and delivers us to a spot that will leave us wondering what just happened and how can we get more of it. His characters are complex and well rounded, perfect for their roles in the book. This book really had me thinking about what kinds of things really do get talked about in a taxi cab or paid driver. I can’t imagine it’s easy to feel safe all the time!
I really liked Antonio and getting to know him. Mr. Winters made Antonio’s character superbly unique and God really shined through him. One rider’s confession makes Antonio’s story fast paced and edge of your seat reading! Each page was something new to Antonio’s story and really had me gripping my seat!
I definitely recommend this thrill ride to all! It’s the first in a new series by a truly talented author and I am so glad that I took the chance on this interesting new read. It’s 4 star worthy and I am looking forward to picking up book 2!
