Armchair Book Expo Day #1: Introductions

Posted 31 May, 2017 by Molly(Cover To Cover Cafe) in Book Reviews / 22 Comments

So, this year, I’m participating in Armchair Book Expo. I love that it happens and have always wanted to go to the actual Book Expo, but sadly, I’ve never had the chance. What better way than to join in the fun virtually from the comfort of my own chair, with my mason jar of sweet iced tea and a book!

Today’s daily topic is introductions! I’ll be introducing myself by answering a few questions.

  1. I’m Molly. I enjoy reading outside on the porch, or curled up inside under a blanket. I love good ol’ iced cold sweet tea in a mason jar. I’m a mama of two teen boys (well, one will be 13 in two weeks so close enough!), and married to my fire fighting husband. I’ve been reading since I was a young girl, and I don’t plan to stop anytime soon!
  2. I love mason jars, cows, Amish and books!
  3. My favorite authors are Karen Kingsbury, Wanda Brunstetter, Julie Lessman and Sarah Jio. Those four authors can always pull me out of any book funk!
  4. My current read is
  5. My blog/social media sites are  Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Google+

  1. It’s a pleasure to meet you. There’s nothing like reading outside on a comfy porch or out in the woods. I’m an avid reader that turned author. This my fourth year attending Armchair Book Expo. One of my life goals is to attend Book Expo as a participating author.

  2. Someday I’d really like to attend Book Expo too, but it certainly wasn’t this year. 🙂

Reading on the porch sounds lovely, though it’s something I rarely do these days.

    Great to meet you, Molly.

  3. I don’t have a porch (although I do enjoy reading in the park), but I’m definitely with you about curled up under a blanket. Particularly on a rainy weekend!

  4. Such a cute blog, I love me some caffeinated coffee and my snuggle kitty. Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday. I’m a little slow catching up with everyone but have a nice week.

  5. If I had a great porch with good seating, I would also spend reading outside with iced tea… not until I have my dream house. XD

    Thanks for stopping by!

  6. I read seated in an armchair with the TV on in front of me. That way. my husband can watch TV while I read, and I won’t feel guilty for not doing what he is doing. At least we are in the same room.
Do any of you experience reading guilt? Feel like you should be doing something else besides doing what you like to do which is read? Sometimes I feel guilty and not merely when reading but when writing my novels too. Yes, I write books, and you can see all my covers if you visit my page at Amazon. https://bit.ly/mollynoblebull By the way, I also read in bed. But I write in front of my computer.

I love reading outdoors, too. I don’t have a porch, but the backyard is good for me. I haven’t tried any of your four favourite authors, but I’ve made a note of them to try 🙂
