Heirloom recipes, family secrets…and a chance for love  The youngest heir to a French-Italian restaurant dynasty, food writer Juliette D’Alisa has spent her life negotiating her skill with words and her restaurant aspirations. When her brother Nico offers her a chance to open a restaurant together, she feels torn—does she really have what it takes? Should she risk leaving her journalism career? After the death of her grandmother, Juliette discovers an antique photograph of a man who looks strikingly like her brother. As the truth behind the picture reveals romance and dark secrets, Juliette struggles to keep the mystery away from her nosy family until she can uncover the whole story.  Inspired by her grandmother’s evolving story, Juliette resolves to explore the world of online dating. To her surprise, she finds a kindred spirit in Neil McLaren, a handsome immunologist based in Memphis, Tennessee. With a long-distance relationship simmering, Juliette faces life-shifting decisions. How can she possibly choose between a promising culinary life and Neil, a man a world away in more ways than one? And is it possible her Grandmother’s story can help show the way?

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the Author/Blogging For Books and was under no obligation to post a review, positive or negative.

My Thoughts:
Love, family and…..food. What more could I ask for in a book? Nothing really, as I love all these combined! Ms. Lodge became an author I enjoyed way back when I read her Amish novels. I loved her work. She makes you smile, and really connects you with her characters. When I saw this book available for review, I was so excited to try it. I wanted to see Ms. Lodge at work once again and see how a non-Amish novel by her would be. The results? AMAZING! I loved it.

Ms. Lodge combines the love, secrets, family and lots of good sounding recipes into a novel filled with faith, hope, determination and characters that will sweep you off your feet. A long distance relationship isn’t easy but Juliette decides to give it a go and through long awaited moments, Ms. Lodge creates a story of a life time with Juliette and Neil.

This book read like a movie playing out for me. I loved it. If you want a timeless love story filled with yumminess and twists of family secrets, longing for love and embracing your faith, then this 5 star book is definitely for you! Ms. Lodge is an amazing author and I highly recommend her!!!
