My Thoughts:
It’s been quite some time since I read a Karen Kingsbury book, so this was quite the refreshing read. She definitely did not disappoint me. It’s a quick, short read, so my review will be a quick, short review.

The Beginning is a wonderful story about letting go of the past, moving on to the future, and understanding that sometimes God’s way, while it may not be our way, is the best to start a new beginning-a new chapter in your life. While the story is captivating and amazing, somehow, Ms. Kingsbury always seems to make me feel as though the story was written specifically for me. This is one of those times, with the powerful messages she incorporates.

I can’t give this short story anything less than 4.5 stars. Her characters are beautiful, her story line is moving and the emotions that roll off the pages, well, simply put, they become a part of you. I am looking forward to reading the follow up novel to this story, The Bridge. I’m ready for more of the bookstore and all it’s people inside! Another home run from Ms. Kingsbury!
