My Review
Peter and Cheryl Barnes are fabulous children’s authors and they have created a wonderful new book for children to learn about the White House, and presidency. They have made a sometimes boring, sometimes hard to understand subject of presidency and made it easy to understand through words for children, and colorful illustrations to coincide with the words.

Woodrow is a sweet little mouse! He’s very catching and fun to follow on this adventurous story. Teaching young children about all that goes on within the halls of the White House and what happens with a President and his family during their time in the House, Woodrow will leave the reader smiling. Woodrow is just a mouse but oh what a mouse he is! He’s cute and his knowledge of the presidency is outstanding!

I definitely recommend this with 5 Books to everyone who has young children. While geared for 5-8 year olds, my 8 and 10 year old sons adored Woodrow! The pictures captivated them, and the learning about the presidents this close to election time was fun for them. They asked questions about the plot line when they finished and had fun being a pal to Woodrow.

Great job on creating a fascinating children’s story book, Mr. and Mrs. Barnes! I can’t wait to add more of your work to my children’s shelves! 🙂
