Two beautiful brides. One unsuspecting groom. Three weeks to figure it all out.

Greta Olsen arrives in Central City, Colorado, as a mail-order bride, expecting to marry Jess Gifford, the man she’s come to know through his tender letters. But when she meets Cora Johnson, she discovers she’s not the only bride waiting at the train station for Jess.

Already shocked to find they must compete for Jess’s affection, the young women can hardly believe it when not Jess but his brother Zach picks them up from the station–and reveals that Jess knows nothing about any mail-order bride, let alone two. Will either bride make the match she hopes for?

Filled with surprises, misunderstandings, and tender romance, Twice Promised is the story of how two unlikely women become twice blessed.

My Review:
Maggie Brendan stole my heart with her first series, Heart Of The West, and I’ve been devoted since. I love the way she blends romance, humor, history and inspiration into one amazing combination. I am always sucked into the heart of the story from the get go, and I get all wrapped up in the plot’s twists and turns. Each page turn brings me to a new place and it’s a wonderful feeling! Her Blue Willow Brides series is a fabulous, captivating series and the characters are amazing!

What would you do if you answered an ad for marriage, only to arrive to find out that the lady you shared a train with answered that same ad and that the groom didn’t place the ad at all? Well, that’s just what happened to Greta and oh what a ride this was! It was emotional, funny, and heart tugging all in one. I adored Greta’s character. She went through so much and only wanted to find a forever happiness. When she realized that Cat, the young woman on the train with her, is answering the ad too, well, she just doesn’t know what to think. Especially when there are more young prospects to consider! It was quite the fun time, let me tell you!

And poor Jess. My heart went out to him….he had no clue what was going on! All he knew was that there is a huge misunderstanding….and one woman who truly does capture his heart. His brother Zach is behind all this and he’s definitely not interested in either of the ladies….but, God may just have other plans for the brothers.

This was a wonderful read! Definitely worthy of 5 Books and two thumbs. Ms. Brendan has hit it out of the ballpark with this one and truly made a wonderful installment in her second series. Captivating, breathtaking, inspiring, and laugh-out-loud moments, this book will sweep you off your feet and make you hungry for more, instantly! I can’t wait to read the next installment! Amazingly done, once again, Ms. Brendan!
