My Review:
After reading The Secret Keeper, it was so much fun to jump into this story and read about the Tudor era once again. This story is filled with the amazing historical elements that make up these amazing story, and is blended with amazing characters from that long ago era. Through a fictional retelling we get to meet the people of the Courts, the Queens, the Kings, the Sirs and Ladies…..all of them put together beautifully in this amazing novelization by Brandy Purdy.

Amy Robsart and Robert Dudley meet and it’s love at first sight. Unable to get over their love for each other they marry, though there is plenty of objections from the parent side. Despite that, they remain happy for a time.

When things start to go south with their marriage, Dudley is back in the court…..where he is quickly imprisoned and meets a friend from long ago. A passion between them quickly ensues. But then the princess becomes Queen…..and all hell breaks lose. Rumors fly, looks are given and Dudley’s wife Amy is found dead.

The suspenseful aspect of the story picks up quickly from there and keeps the reader so engrossed in the story that time quickly gets away from the reader. Each page turned brought something new to the story….something suspenseful, something historical….all of it entwined together to make up this amazing 5 Book worthy novel of an era that is fascinating.

I definitely recommend this book to everyone who loves the Tudor Era. It’s a fresh take on the Courts and the vivid detail to the historical elements is beautiful. Throw in passionate romances and death, and this book will forever have a place on your bookshelf….I know it does mine!
