My Review:
Warning: do not read this at night. It’s that greatly horrific! I really enjoyed this book. Allan Leverone is a supremely talented author and really knows how to hook the readers with twists, turns and best of all, horror! From page one, I was pulled into the small-town setting and really felt as if I was a character among the pages. Each chill, each thrill, each creepy factor became my own, and by the end of the story, well, let’s just say that I haven’t slept with a nightlight since I was 10 and quite frankly, I want to start again! 🙂
Mike McMahon is new to Paskagankee, Maine, and he’s there as the new police chief. He was counting on some small town, low crime rate living, but what he got was horrifically more. Partnering with a new cop, Sharon Dupont, McMahon sets out to solve the brutal killings that have been brought to his attention. When they set out to investigate, they get more than they bargained for.
Someone, or rather something, is killing people in a horrific way. And, with the help of a college professor, McMahon and Dupont take on the ride of their life as the battle the unthinkable, as they battle to find the truth of the killings, and work to stop it.
Definitely check this book out! It’s 4 Book worthy and definitely a wonderfully written horror novel. I am looking forward to more books set in Paskagankee, and I hope that they are all just as horrific as this one was. I definitely don’t want to sleep with the lights out now :).

This is going to be my spooky Halloween read. I always like to pick a good spooky book for my most favorite holiday. Thanks for the review!
