Wow! Peter Leonard has hit it out of the ball park with this action-filled suspense novel. He’s filled this story with incredible twists, and curvy turns that leave the reader white-knuckling their eReader…..at least, that’s what it did for this reader. I love the intensity that Leonard uses to create his character. Each on complex and absolutely gripping.
Leonard incorporates the deepness of the history from the Holocaust and the Germans. When Jewish man, Harry Levin, looses his daughter to a car accident involving a German man, he’s livid. Having escaped the Holocaust when he was a child,after seeing hundreds upon hundreds of dead Jews or injured ones, the blow deepens when he learns the man responsible for killing his young daughter is granted an immunity, and a respected German who was involved with the Holocaust killings.
As Harry fights to bring his daughter’s killer into the justice system, he learns that this man is responsible for more than just his daughter’s killing. He’s after more than that. He wants people dead. All those who are dying, are connected to Harry in some way or another, and are Jewish. Harry will stop at nothing to bring justice to those who are dead, and to his daughter. But will he find that justice before the German kills him?
I’m going to stop there, for if I continue, I’ll spoil the story. If you are a lover of history, then this is a wonderful book for you. However, I must warn you, this is an intense story with a deep, deep plot line. It’s not an easy read, though you become so captivated by the characters and the story that before you know it, it’s over. I just finished this book this morning and it hits me hard. Most definitely a beyond 5 Book worthy novel and one that I highly, highly recommend. I can’t wait to see what this incredible author has in store next for his fans. Wonderful job, Mr. Leonard!
