As a young boy, Quinn Conway was shattered by his mother’s mysterious disappearance. Today, as the oldest of the Conway brothers, his only concern is protecting his family and their ranch. One look at beautiful, strong-willed Cheyenne O’Brien tells him she’s also no stranger to tragedy. A series of increasingly dangerous “accidents” are plaguing her and her land, and Quinn can’t stand idly by while a woman is in danger. Fiercely independent, Cheyenne isn’t one to lean on others, yet she can’t deny her attraction to the rugged rancher offering help. Soon, the passion building between them proves as wild and untamed as the land she loves-and just as impossible to resist. But a relentless enemy is about to make one final devastating move. To survive, Quinn and Cheyenne must put their cherished freedom-and their hearts-at risk . . .

My Review:
Yeehaw, cowboy! I love western romances filled with sexy cowboys, and heart gripping heroines. RC Ryan is an author who combines both of those things and so much more with her suspenseful, sexy, and sometimes a little funny cowboy novels. I was so pleased to have the chance to read this novel. Not only is the cover drool worthy, the story was too!

Quinn Conway and Cheyenne O’Brien are absolutely perfect characters for this story. They were complex and vibrant, and lent the story the perfect amount of passion. Quinn meets the beautiful rancher Cheyenne while he’s working. She’s the rancher who lives next to Quinn’s ranch, and well, she’s a bit spirited to say the least about her.

While Quinn is working, he’s forced to stay at her ranch with her when a terrible storm strands him there. Butting heads on more than one occasion, the ranchers can’t help but also agree on a few things. Like the fact that there’s something going on on Cheyenne’s ranch that shouldn’t be. Things are happening and something or someone is out to harm the ranch…..or perhaps, Cheyenne. As Cheyenne and Quinn spend more time together, they realize that there is more to their circumstances, that there’s passion between them that they can’t deny. But will it be enough? Will Quinn be able to piece the clues together and keep Cheyenne safe from harm?

This is a wonderful start to a new series, and most definitely a 5 Book worthy novel. Filled with romance, suspense and lovable characters, this novel will forever be on my Western bookshelf. I am anxious for another Wyoming Sky novel already, as I want to see what happens with Quinn’s brothers!
