About the Book:
Three forest trees dream of what they will one day become. One dreams of becoming a royal throne; one of being a ship that can withstand any storm; and one longs to stay in the forest and grow as tall as tall can be. When they are felled, it seems their dreams are over. But as each tree is crafted into a new item–a manger, a fishing boat, and a rugged cross–it becomes clear that through the role they play in one important life their hopes are more than fulfilled.

About the Author:
ELENA PASQUALI worked for some years in children’s publishing before going on to be an author in her own right. She has a special interest in retelling folk tales from around the world.

My Review:
An amazingly adorable children’s book! While I have two children who are a bit older (7 and 9), this book still captured their attentions with it’s bright, beautifully colored pictures. The story itself is an old folklore, and one that is told in an easy to understand way that will capture even the smallest of children’s attentions. The message of the cross, and of God’s guidance for our dreams was outstanding! I am definitely putting this on my children’s shelves for future reading. This 5 Book worthy child’s book is a perfect book for that special little one in your life this Holiday season. Heck, it’s PERFECT for that adult in your life that loves a wonderfully told tale of old, so grab a copy now.
