When Josi isn’t cooking or writing she’s trying to say ahead of her four children, hiding somewhere with a book in hand, or enjoying her backyard chickens. Josi and her family live in Willard, UT.

My Review:
Yummy! SO happy to have had the chance to read this book, #6 in Ms. Kilpack’s culinary mystery series! There’s nothing better than a fantastically written mystery that’s filled with lots of yummo recipes. That’s exactly what we get treated to with this new addition to the Sadie Hoffmiller series. Sadly, I STILL have not read books 1-3, but I have read books 4-6 now! YAY for me! I am still going to go back and read the first 3, eventually. This is one hoppin’ great mystery series. The best part? They all keep you caught up and you are never lost, so they easily read as a stand alones. How awesome is that?

Yea, anyway. Sadie Hoffmiller mysteries are the BEST. They are filled with fantastic characters (gotta love Sadie! She rocks!), superb mystery and enough food that you can literally feel yourself gain ten pounds and start to drool by the end of the story. Yep. Well, ok not really, but I could have sworn I did gain while reading this…..

I loved every twist and turn to this delicious story. Yep, it’s filled LOTS of twists. LOTS of turns. Josi Kilpack REALLY knows what she’s doing when she keeps her readers hanging on to every word, every page, every bit of fantastic ups and downs. Sadie and her boyfriend, Pete are babysitting his grandsons, who live in Boston. Once there, creepy things start to happen and the neighbor, Mrs. Wapple….well, let’s just say that some think that she’s more than just a neighbor. When strange things start to happen, Sadie sets out to solve the puzzle of another interesting mystery. Who’s behind it? Ghosts? Goblins? Witches? This one is themed around fall and Halloween so it’s PERFECT for that cozy up by the fire read.

I don’t want to get into any spoilers, so I’ll just tell you that you MUST get a copy of this 5 Book worthy read! You’ll be swept away to a place where food and mystery go hand and hand and you’ll love the feeling of helping sweet Sadie solve the clues. Best advice? Don’t read in a quiet library for your stomach is sure to get you kicked out!
