My Review:
Steven James is totally rockin’ Patrick Bowers again in this installment of his Patrick Bowers Thrillers! TOTALLY! Steven James is the master of Christian Fiction Suspense and I totally love his character Patrick Bowers. Between being funny, serious, and all around lovable, this Bowers is a profiler I would want to see in real life. He knows his stuff!
Now, that’s not the only thing I love about James’ work. I love the detail that James puts into his stories. Reading this story, and all the Patrick Bowers novels, is like watching a movie. Only so much better. The action, the suspense, the laugh out loud moments, the page turning twists,it’s all what makes up James’ work.
The Queen is a novel of intensity, family struggles, fast action suspense, and all around lovable characters. I loved walking along side Patrick as he struggle with his relationship with his brother Sean. I loved his interaction with Tessa, his step daughter, and I loved his commitment to the job. Blended together, those things give you a whopper of a novel!
If you are a serial killer suspense lover, a heart pounding, blood pumping, intense crime lover, then this book, filled with all of that and God’s unending guidance, then this is a novel you don’t want to miss. It’s mind blowing-ly powerful, beyond 5 Books worthy, a fantastic addition to Patrick Bowers thrillers, and easily one of my favorite Christian suspense novels to date. It is the 5th book in a series, so I highly recommend that you read them ALL (The Pawn, The Rook, The Knight and The Bishop). While I recommend reading them in order, they can all be read as stand alones. The thrills and intensity will still be the same! I can’t wait to see what Steven James and Patrick Bowers has in store next for devoted fans!
