Synopsis:
Anything can happen when you live in a place called Miracle. Meg Jorgenson wants a fresh start, miles away from the city and a failed relationship. She takes a teaching position in the tiny town of Miracle, Kentucky, and vows to steer clear of smooth-talking men. Before long, Meg is smitten, but it’s eight-year-old Cammy Bayer who wins her heart. The young girl has spent much of her life in a wheelchair but firmly believes that God will heal her someday. Cammy’s widowed father, Vance, has devoted his life to caring for his young daughter, and he is delighted by the attention she receives from her new teacher. But will Meg and Vance see eye-to-eye when it comes to an experimental procedure that might grant Cammy the use of her legs? Will they open their minds to the miracle of healing and their hearts to the miracle of love?

What’s not to love about Andrea Boeshaar’s work? I have enjoyed several of her novels and love every one. Her combination of faith, hope, redemption, and mercy is absolutely stunning. No matter what your mood, if you open an Andrea Boeshaar novel, you will find yourself right at home among the characters, with a smile on your face.
Love Finds You in Miracle, Kentucky is what started all the Love Finds You novels. I must say that I am so happy that it started here, with this sweet and loving story. I loved all the characters from the amazing woman we see in Meg, who suffered a bad relationship with a man she lived with and wanted to start over, to the sad and widowed Vance who would never love another as he did his first wife, to the absolutely ADORABLE handicapped Cammy, who has “faith like a child”and a daddy she loved unconditionally.
I have to say that, though this story was about Meg and Vance moving on and finding peace with themselves, and trusting wholly in God, it was Cammy that caught my eye. This young girl, handicapped and told she would never walk again, loved wholly and had a faith bigger than anyone could imagine. She had faith that God would allow her to walk someday and that God would send someone to heal her daddy’s heart and make him whole again. With faith like that, everyone in this world would be a happy person.
I highly recommend this story to everyone. It’s full of God’s amazing grace and love, a child who will touch your heart and open your eyes to the power of having a whole trust and faith in God, and a love that is true, no matter what life brings. It’s a 5 Book Rating worthy novel in my eyes and I hope to see these characters branch off in to another story….hint hint, Ms. Boeshaar ;-)!
