About the Book:
A Sanctuary of Secrets…
Gavin MacKenzie, a chieftain heir who is hired to restore the ancient Castle of Braigh, discovers a hidden village of outcasts who have created their own private sanctuary from the world. Among them is Serena Boyd, a mysterious and
comely lass, who captures Gavin’s heart in spite of harboring a deadly past that could destroy her future.
The villagers happen to be keeping an intriguing secret as well. When a fierce enemy launches an attack against them, greed leads to bitter betrayal. As Gavin prepares a defense, the villagers unite in a bold act of faith, showing how God’s love is more powerful than any human force on earth.

My Review:
So, I read Highland Blessings some time back, and fell in love with it. I’m not one to usually love the highland kind of books, but something called out to me when I read Blessings. So, when I was presented the opportunity to review the second in Ms. Taylor’s Highland series, I jumped on it. I wasn’t sure if I would really enjoy it like I did the first one, but still wanted to read it. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised!
New characters and old come together in this soon to be released novel by a super talented author. Reading about Gavin MacKenzie and Serena Boyd really took my breath away. Filled with ups and downs, this story of love and sacrifice, hope and honor, faith and mercy, this novel really pulls the reader to the heart of Scotland. I could see the dress, hear the sounds, feel the intensity that Ms. Taylor created this story with.
Whether you like inspirational novels, historical novels, or romance, this novel will have something for everyone in it. I recommend it with a high flying, 5 Books rating. You’ll be swept away by God’s love, and wonderful characters, and you’ll land in the heart of Scotland and become part of a wonderful romance novel. Though I recommend you read this with Highland Blessings, it is easily read as a stand alone. I can’t wait to read another novel by this highly talented lady. And, I hope that there will soon be another addition to the Highland series as I am now a devoted fan to Scotland!
