About the Short:
The serial killer takes on many guises. But what happens when you unknowingly take him as your most trusted and loyal husband?
Pathological is proof that even though you think you know your spouse inside and out, you might not really know him at all.
Vincent Zandri is a bestselling novelist, essayist and freelance photojournalist. His most recent hard-boiled thrillers, The Innocent, Moonlight Falls and The Remains, are Amazon bestsellers. The Remains held strong as an Amazon “Hot New Release” in Hard-Boiled fiction for months and eventually reached No. 1. It’s also a bestseller in Romantic-Suspense. His novel As Catch Can (Delacorte) was touted in two pre-publication articles by Publishers Weekly and was called “Brilliant” upon its publication by The New York Post. The Boston Herald attributed it as “The most arresting first crime novel to break into print this season.” Other novels include Godchild (Bantam/Dell) and Permanence (NPI). Translated into several languages including Japanese, Russian, French and the Dutch, Zandri’s novels have also been sought out by numerous major movie producers, including Heyday Productions and DreamWorks. Presently he is the author of the blogs, Dangerous Dispatches and Embedded in Africa for Russia Today TV (RT). He also writes for other global publications, including Culture 11, Globalia and Globalspec. Zandri’s nonfiction has appeared in New York Newsday, Hudson Valley Magazine, Game and Fish Magazine and others, while his essays and short fiction have been featured in many journals including Fugue, Maryland Review and Orange Coast Magazine. He holds an M.F.A. in Writing from Vermont College and is a 2010 International Thriller Writer’s Awards panel judge. Zandri currently divides his time between New York and Europe. Having recently signed with traditional based indy publisher, StoneHouse Ink and StoneGate Ink, Zandri will be publishing three more novels over the course of two years: As Catch Can (republication), The Concrete Pearl (a new hard-boiled series), and Godchild (republication). He is at work on a new novel about the upstate New York Porco axe murder and attempted murder.
Well, let me tell you. It’s like his novels. The shorts instantly capture the reader, and are perfect for the “in-between” read, when you can’t quite figure out what to read next. He blends his trademark suspense with som humor, and keeps the reader turning the pages until the end of the short. That’s awesomeness in my mind!
Pathological is a thrilling digital short. It really makes ya think (well, it would make me think it, if I wasn’t divorced, anyhow) that “do I really know my spouse?”. I had super fun reading about this man who asked his soon-to-be fiance’s dad for permission to marry her….and then sat through all the emotions and suspense of what was to happen at the end of this short story about a serial killer. And, as with his other work that I have read, Vincent Zandri, saved the best of the twists and turns for last! It hits ya and you’re like WOW!
So, once again, Vincent Zandri did NOT disappoint this fan. Pathological is a digital, 5 star short that I recommend to EVERYONE! Need a quick read between reads? Need something to read while waiting to see the doctor? Need something to read to pass time in the bathroom (hehehe!)? Then look no further than the one and only Vincent Zandri digital short, Pathological! I can’t wait for more work by this fantastic author!
