My Review:
I’m quite honestly not sure what I was expecting with this novel, but I was definitely happy with what I read. Danielle Trussoni created a complex, intriguing and mysterious novel that not only got my attention, but had me really working my mind. Her words were woven together perfectly, her characters well chiseled, and her plot line, while at times a little different and strange, was phenomenal.
Sister Evangeline’s story alternates between 1999 and 1943. Her character instantly becomes apart of you and you follow her through an alternating timeline and plot of good vs. evil. Verlaine, Percival and Gabriella add a special uniquely mysterious depth to the action of the novel.
I’m not going to go into huge detail of this intriguing, thrilling plot line. So many things could be talked about right now, but I won’t go there. I will tell you this though. If you like The Da Vinici Code and Dan Brown’s work, you will LOVE Angelology. Trussoni’s research is phenomenal, her words captivating. The story is not filled beautiful breathtaking angels like we may think that Angel’s should be. Rather, Trussoni put forth amazing research and created an excellent good verses evil story. Angelologists being the good of the story, and Nephilim, (who tend to follow the rebellious ways of Cain from the Bible) being the evil, or the angels of darkness.
Five stars to the author for an INCREDIBLE, intriguing story that is filled with lots of suspense. With an ending that will surprise you, you’ll be hanging on, anxious for the sequel that is sure to come from this amazingly talented author!
