Okay. Whoa. Let me catch my breath for a minute. This is a psychological thriller novel that is absolutely captivating. It’s got everything that a book like this should have: thrills, unsuspecting twists, murder, breathtaking knuckle whitening suspense, questions and fantastic who-dun-its. This novel is written by a new-to-me author but she’s certainly not new to the craft of writing. From page one, Gardner twisted me into the story and by the final page I was dizzy from all the turns, twists and bumps along the way.
Tessa’s story is phenomenal. A state trooper by day, and an abused wife turn murderer by night??? Well, that’s just one of hundreds of questions that you’ll need to read this book to find the answers to. Tessa’s 6 year old daughter vanished…..or did she? Will there be enough time to save her, or is she already perished? Some more questions that are answered about the masterfully written pages. And what does Detective Warren find out as she investigates and digs into the family and breaks them down?
Have I got you curious yet? I sure hope so! It’s also my hope that you will take the time to read this emotionally complex, more than 5 star worthy, WOWtastic suspense novel. Lisa Gardner knows what a suspense lover craves in a novel and mixes it up to throw us an amazing novel that is so life like you won’t know you’ve just read a novel-you’ll feel like it ACTUALLY happened to YOU.
