About the Book:
Miriam Raber takes a bold stand when her Amish boyfriend considers leaving their community. “Whatever he chooses, I’m going with him.”
Miriam Raber enjoys life in her Old Order Amish community, and she is hopeful that Saul Fisher will propose to her soon. But when Saul starts talking about leaving the only world either of them has ever known, Miriam imagines what her life might look like as an Englischer. One thing she knows for certain, she loves Saul and feels he’s the one God has chosen for her. But Saul’s indecision has come at an inconvenient time as Miriam is noticing advances from Jesse Dienner, a man she went to school with and who wants to marry.
Complicating matters is the arrival of Miriam’s cousin, Madison, a worldly Englisch girl sent to live with Miriam’s family following trouble back home.
Who will Miriam choose a life with–and who will choose to stay in the Old Order Amish community?

The queen of Amish fiction brought her readers a wonderful conclusion to her Daughters of the Promise series. I was hooked from page one and I felt like I was back visiting with family, as I read Beth’s breath taking novel following Miriam Raber’s story. Beth’s talent is masterful and should be bragged about by all her readers!
Miriam’s sweet story drew me in, not only because of her character being one from past novels, but also because of her amazing, tender heart. She was so kind when her cousin from Texas-Shelby- came to stay. But, Miriam had a BIG decision to make-stay Amish or follow her heart and follow Saul to Pittsburgh for a once in a life time opportunity.
Reading her story, seeing her love for her family and for Saul, was an experience I’m truly glad I didn’t miss. At times, I would laugh a little, at times I’d feel a little sad for Miriam, and for Shelby. Other times, I just settled in for the ride of contentment of reading a really fantastic Amish novel.
I definitely recommend this novel to all readers (especially Amish lovers!) with the highest of praises. With 5 star novels like this, Beth Wiseman writes of God’s love and grace and the meaning of family and friends. Don’t miss out on this book, or the others in this amazingly written series.
