My Review:
Elizabeth Ludwig is an AMAZING author! When I sat down to read Love Finds You in Calico,California, I was instantly transported to another time and place. Elizabeth Ludwig filled this novel with everything from loneliness, heartache and love to suspenseful mystery. Toss in some good ol’ Godly lovin, and this is a terrific read!

Abigail and Nathan’s story is a tender one. Both are dealt some rough hands in life as they learn to deal with the grief of loosing loved ones. But is Abigail’s father’s death truly an accident? Will she be able to prove his innocence and clear her name before some one else gets hurt?

Nathan vows to help her out, even though his heart still belongs to his late wife. He needs a mama for Lizzie, his 5 year old daughter. He offers Abigail protection and support through a marriage of convienence, but is it enough? Will they fall in love while trying to solve the mystery behind the mining shaft explosion that left Abigail’s father dead?

I absolutely ADORED finding out the answers to those questions and falling in love with Calico and it’s colorful, complex characters. Elizabeth Ludwig is skilled at what she does and truly keeps her readers hearts in mind, along with spreading the message of God’s love and forgiveness of oneself.

I highly recommend this book with the highest of 5 star praises! It was a fast and fun, yet suspenseful read that kept me turning the pages long into the night. I not only enjoyed this book for it’s content, I am crazy over the cover. It’s gorgeous! The dress and the red boots would have caught my eye in the store and would have had me dying to purchase it. So, if you love history, great characters and an awesome author, this is DEFINITELY your kind of book!
