About the Book:
Sarah Beachy has plenty to be joyous about as autumn leaves start to fall. She loves her job at the English bed-and-breakfast where she cooks and refreshes rooms between guests. She has a serious beau, and everyone expects an engagement soon. Why, then, would she jeopardize everything by suddenly deciding to take a trip to Cleveland to track down a brother who left the Order years ago?
Her family’s faith in God is put to the test as the holiest night of the year approaches and Sarah remains far away. Sarah’s mother, Elizabeth, has been missing her son for such a long time…will she lose her daughter to the English world as well? Or will the Beachy family receive an unexpected Christmas miracle?
About the Author:
Mary Ellis is the author of A Widow’s Hope, Never Far from Home, The Way to a Man’s Heart, and Sarah’s Christmas Miracle. She and her husband live in central Ohio, where they try to live a simpler style of life.
Christmas + Amish= two of my favorites. However, this book is a TRIPLE bonus for me. First, it’s a Christmas one. Second, it’s Amish. And third, it’s written by one of my favorite Amish authors-Mary Ellis. She creates her stories with a passion for God. Her words and characters grab the reader and settle them in the middle of the story, and surround them with friends and family and love.
Sarah’s Christmas Miracle is a sweet, simple story filled with hope, longing and redemption. It’s short and easy to read-I read it in one day- and you instantly fall in love with Sarah, who just wants one little Christmas miracle: her now English bruder to return to the Amish. Through God, prayers and unwavering hope, Sarah is determined to have that miracle, so she can have a peace of mind, about her bruder, her parents and her beau. I really loved her character and her perseverance.
Mary Ellis has a 5 star book with this one. Again, I say it’s not a big book so it could be easily read most anywhere. If you love Christmas and/or Amish, then you MUST read Sarah’s Christmas Miracle. It’s a wonderfully written book filled with lessons for everyone, and love for God.
