About the Book:
She’s an outlaw; he’s a preacher. Both are in need of a miracle.
Sarah Prescott has never known a respectable life. Just a hardscrabble childhood and brothers who taught her to shoot first and ask questions later.
Justin Wells left Boston in disgrace, heading out alone on the dusty trail to Texas. But when the once-respected clergyman encounters a feisty redhead in handcuffs with a dying U.S. Marshal at her side, their journey takes a dramatic turn.
His high society expectations and Sarah’s outlaw habits clash from the start. With a price on her head and towing an orphaned baby rescued from the brink of starvation, Justin and Sarah make the difficult journey toward Rocky Creek. There, justice will be meted out. Perhaps–they hope–with a healthy portion of grace.
Filled with mishaps, laughs, and adventure, Margaret Brownley’s inspiring romance will keep readers cheering for Sarah as she struggles to become a true lady.
About the Author:
My Review:
I absolutely LOVED this book! I am a sucker for a great Christian fiction novel, as well as, a great historical novel…this book has both and more!! Margaret Brownley was able to capture me from the beginning, and held me til the end. I truly did not want this book to end or to have to say good bye to amazingly thought out characters who became my dear friends. But, alas, I did and I am anxiously awaiting book 2 in this series!
I found myself laughing through out this whole book. Maragaret Brownley does an outstanding job of adding humor to Sarah’s story. It was a book that I have added to my favorites list and I will go back time and again to say hello to my new friends.
If you love history, and you love God-filled stories, then I think you should grab a copy of Sarah and Justin’s story, A Lady Like Sarah, sit back and relax while you become friends with these wonderful people. I give this book an over all 5 star rating for a wonderful job!!
