My Review:
Can I stress enough in my reviews, how much I LOVE Karen Kingsbury’s books? I honestly don’t think I can. I stand firm when I agree with the title she’s been given of The Queen of Christian Fiction. Her books have the title of Life-Changing Fiction and I have to agree with that, also. The feeling that sweeps over you the minute you open the front cover is just blessedly wonderful.
Above the Line’s Take Three is as awesome as books 1 and 2. While we read about the success and struggles of Chase and Keith with their fame and temptation and begging God for protection, we get the bigger part of the story as Andi’s story. She struggles with an issue that is very real in today’s society. I found myself praying, crying and cheering for her! She needed so much to have some one there for her to show her she was special and loved!
We also get more into Bailey’s story and her struggles with Tim and Cody. I love that I have gotten to read her story woven between the pages ever since the Firstborn Series. LOVE it! This entire book is once again filled will God’s grace and mercy, temptation, redemption and forgiveness. It really squeezes your heart and you feel the emotions as if it is you standing in these characters’ places.
This is definitely a 5 star book. It is not your normal “romance” novel, nor does it “preach” at you. It just brings you Karen’s wonderful words that are guided by God to spread the inspiration through out her readers. From page one you will not be able to turn these amazing people away. You will sit and laugh with them and cry with them and then you will be thanking God for Karen Kingsbury’s friendship through these books. Well done, Karen!
