My Review:
There is a powerful message of forgiveness in this book. I truly, truly felt a part of this story as I watched it come to life in front of me. I was one of the magnificently created characters, who fought the powerful prejudiced and injustice law system and life of South Africa. Kathi Macias’ story pulled me into it’s plot, twisted and tugged at my heart, until the last page.
This story is wonderfully written with a touch of truth through out the fiction, especially the happenings during the time of Nelson Mandela in Africa. A story of two young hearts, who’s lives are forbiddened from being one, and who question God’s great love for them & endure terrible tragedy. It is, indeed, a story of no greater love than that of God for His children, no matter the color of skin.
I highly recommend this book. Kathi Macias is truly talented at creating a compelling story full of lessons, heartache and unforbidden love, mixed with the greatest love all. Absolutely a 5 star, riveting story!
