My Review:
This was an absolutely ADORABLE book! I had the funnest time reading this book to my kids. The way they sat there, hanging on every word that I read, proved that Joy DeKok did an OUTSTANDING job at creating this story for youngsters!
Joy brings us a first hand look at a life of a wild life animal, the raccoon. The way she created the story in a way that little ones understand the capturing and taking care of a wild animal, really pulled me to the story…and I’m an adult! I also, love the way that the pictures really emphasize what Joy was trying to portray in her book. They are beautifully done and really capture the eyes of the reader.
I became a fan of Joy DeKok’s when I read her novel, Rain Dance (click here to see my review), and I am an ever bigger fan of her ability to create children’s books too! I give this children’s book a 5 star rating and will recommend to everyone who has little ones that love to read or be read to! Well done, Joy!
