My Review:
The Baxter’s only son, Luke, walks away from the faith and God he’s always known. He also walks away from the only woman he’s ever loved. But there’s a problem with that….he doesn’t know that the one night they gave into temptation resulted in a baby. But one member of the Baxter family does know the truth and she has a secret of her own…one that is forever life changing. Will Luke ever return to the Baxters and the faith he’s always known? And will the events of September 11th have a young firefighter bringing all the Baxters together again?
Once again, I get to see my adopted family at work! That’s how I’ve come to think of Karen’s Baxter family…my adopted family.
In Return, I found myself praying for Luke right along with his family. I cried all through this book while watching the Baxters aching for their lost and only son. I love Ms. Kingsbury’s use of Scripture and relying on God but my favorite part of her writing is how you feel when you’re finished reading: Loved by God and full of wonderful lessons learned through out the book.
As with all of Karen’s books, I recommend Return to everyone, but especially to anyone who wants to experience God. You’ll be giving it high praises too!!! 5 stars and two thumbs!!!!
