About the Book:
Cigar boxes. Refrigerator doors. Scrapbooks and sock drawers and top shelves. These are the places we store our treasures–the keepsakes that tell the story of whom and what we’ve loved, how we’ve lived, and what matters most to us.

God is a collector, too, whose treasures are tucked securely into the pages of his book: a golden bell here, an olive leaf there, a scarlet thread, a blood-stained cloth, a few grains of barley. Each of these saved artifacts reveals a facet of his heart and tells the story of a Father whose most precious possession is…us.

In Treasured, Leigh McLeroy considers tangible reminders of God’s active presence and guides us in discovering evidence in our own li.ves of his attentive love.

My Review:
Do you know God’s treasure? If you don’t, you will after reading this amazing book by Leigh McLeroy.

Woven in the words of these pages are pieces of the Bible, glimpses of God’s treasures. From collecting His very first treasure-Adam and Eve’s first coverings to His scarlet robe stained crimson red by blood, to His most loved and precious treasure-us, His children.

Through the many examples McLeroy uses, they can be compared to instances of near similarity in the Bible, showing us of the many treasures God has collected.

I definitely would tell someone who is feeling down about themselves, or ashamed in some way, to down with a copy of Leigh McLeroy’s Treasured. It is worth the time and, like me, I’m sure you will walk away with a changed heart and attitude, or atleast feeling that you are truly one of God’s treasured gifts!

Definitely 5 stars!!!
