I have never read a novel by Denise Hunter before but I will say that I am certainly glad that I read this one and can’t wait to read more!

This story is a bit of a mystery story. Not your normal mystery thriller, with killers and lawyers and cops, but a quirky, romantic, inspirational novel about a young waitress at a seaside cafe who has a secret: she’s fallen hard for one of her regular customers but he’s tied up in his past. So she resorts to sending him anonymous emails to tell him of her feelings.

The man she’s falling for needs her help in uncovering a mystery and when he finds out she’s a research assistant for a mystery author, he hires her for the job: finding out the mysterious writer of the emails, a woman he’s fallen in love with. If she turns him down, someone else will help him uncover the mystery of finding her. Will she be able to work side by side with him until he figures out the mystery emailer is her or will he realize it on his own that the woman he fell for was right beside him all along?

I became deeply engrossed in this story from the first. Ms. Hunter’s style is unique and intriguing and funny and full of loving inspiration. So if your looking for a good clean novel that will make you smile, I highly recommend this book from a best-selling and award-winning author who knows how to make a christian novel come alive! Definitely a must read!
